The most ancient footprint

Explore your past is one of the main tasks facing modern science. Often, it is studying his story, you can find missing links that will help make important discoveries in the future. An important direction of archeology is to search for traces of stay left by ancient people. They help more understand the culture, stages of development and the formation of human society.

An ancient person moving gently and silently, may not leave any traces on the walls of the caves, do not put in a secluded place of the tool and decoration, but he will definitely leave the prints of his feet. And if they are left in a viscous, soft material, which subsequently hardened, they can be preserved for a long time. That is why the chances of finding a person's footprint whose age is tens of thousands of years, much higher than, for example, chances to find the most ancient fingerprint.

Archaeologists found a variety of footprints left by people who lived several thousand and even tens of thousands of years ago (mostly these discoveries occur on the excavations of the parking lots of the ancient people), but the professor of Cynthia Lyutkus was lucky: she managed to discover the footprint left by a man about 120, 000 years ago !

The discovery was made during the excavations in Tanzania, East Africa, when a professor with his assistant saw a man's footprint, imprinted in ash. Radio carbon analysis showed that the find of about 120, 000 years old, and the anatomical structure of the track indicates that the leg, leaving him, belonged to the Homo Sapience - a man intelligent. Currently, this imprint is ancient among the found Homo Sapience prints.

Science also known more ancient footprints, but they only belong to earlier species - the predecessors of a person intelligent. If we talk about the ongoing creatures, the most ancient fingerprints are "La Laoli's prints found during the excavations in the La Laoli terrain, Tanzania. Several million years ago, an eruption occurred near the volcano nearby, because of which the surroundings were covered with ashes, which, with time, splashed and thickened due to the passing rains. It was this mixture that helped to keep the prints of two running beings next to each other. The chain of traces has about 70 prints, and then interrupted. According to scientists, the story retained the traces of two Australopites, and radio carbon analysis showed that their age is about 3, 6 million years. Thus, Laatoli's prints are the most ancient of the detected prints of spinning hominids.

The assumption that traces belong to Australopithekam, confirm the fossil teeth discovered nearby, anatomically belonging to Australopithek and relating to the same time period.

But that's not all. There are imprints even older. True, where they came from and to whom it belongs, modern science is not to say: because if they are really real, then it ruins all the modern scientific theory. The fact is that in 1922 in Nevada, Geologist John Raid, engaged in geological exploration, discovered a piece of stone in one of the mines, on which the shoe sole was clearly seen.

The line of the soles are preserved as clearly that even the screeds fasten the soles with the upper part were visible. Initially it was assumed that the fossil age is about 5 million years old, but more detailed studies have shown that its age is about 230 million years old. However, no 5 million years ago, no more than 230 million years ago, it simply could not be a person. What is a fingerprint of a shoe from Nevada? We are looking for answers to questions here.
