Why is it so important to eat healthy foods?

We look at our body as an unchanging, stable structure. We know that cells are renewing, but our appearance does not change from this. We have a strong skeleton that always retains its firmness, we have muscles, blood vessels, skin. In fact, 20 million erythrocytes die every second in our body, about 1000 nerve cells die every hour, and the same number appears again. 25 grams of blood are renewed per day.

It is difficult to imagine, but during one of our working weeks, while we go to work and perform our duties, our body also works - during these 5 days it completely renews the inner lining of our stomach. Even our skeleton, which we think is unchanged throughout our life, is renewed every 8-10 years. It is only thanks to the constant construction and renewal of cells that we wake up again every morning and continue to lead a normal life. Cell renewal is an ongoing process: and when we are awake, working, going for a walk with the dog, going to the store, meeting with friends; and when we sleep.

When workers build a house, they make an estimate and purchase supplies. You need bricks, concrete, boards and much more, because you need to fill the foundation, make a frame, roof, walls. When everything is ready - glue the wallpaper, put in linoleum, hang curtains, in a word, make the house habitable. So the body, having received material for consumption, gives it the desired shape. For example, a carpenter received a wooden plate, he makes a door out of it, and then the builders install it in the house. The building material in the body is the food that enters it. From every apple, glass of milk, grain, from every crumb of bread that we put into our mouth, our body extracts the necessary substances for itself. From them, he can create completely different structures that are needed for work.

The same thing happens when we eat food to which our body is not accustomed and does not know what to do with it, how to use it for its intended purpose. These are a variety of artificially created products; they do not exist in nature.

Synthetic products have appeared with the development of the food industry. She could not stand still and introduced innovations along with the development of the whole society as a whole. However, what did these updates lead to and did they fulfill the purpose that they were supposed to fulfill - to benefit humanity? Or, these innovations are essentially not innovations at all, because innovations are a term that characterizes precisely positive changes.

Let's take a short trip back in time and see what food was on the tables of our great-great-grandfathers.

The world food culture has undergone radical changes; today's lunch is very different from the lunch that was prepared in the early 19th century. Then there was always hot food on the table, vegetables and fresh bread. Now, even if we abandon the usual fast food for many, which has become a cost of the current rhythm of life, and replace it with a dinner of the early 19th century, hardly anyone can guarantee that it will be as safe as then. The reason is that even traditional products for us, due to the improvement of production methods, have become sophisticated and artificial in composition. For example, the bread we buy now is not at all the bread that we ate a hundred years ago. Then the bread looked different, and most importantly, it was different in composition, the production technology was different. Porridge was kneaded from grains and flour, cakes were formed from it and baked. Such bread had a pleasant smell and rich taste. When the first machines began to appear, the process was automated. Today, production has reached the point where the usual ingredients - flour, water and yeast have faded into the background. To make the product more attractive, manufacturers began to use dough improvers that can improve the properties of the lowest quality flour: prevent uneven crust, the beginning of the mold process. One of the inventions for extending the shelf life is bread freezing, the essence lies in the fact that the bread is baked at 95% and put it into a state of shock freezing - minus forty degrees. This procedure allows the shelf life to be increased to two months.

These facts allow us to say that the modern food culture has left a person practically no right to choose.

Why can't our body live on junk food?

Another scourge of the modern food industry, in addition to distorted pseudo-useful production technologies, is food additives. If we also go back to the 19th century, we will see that even then food additives were used by people to give dishes the necessary taste and color, but these were natural additives - salt, vinegar, vegetables were used as dyes. And this continued until the last decades of the 20th century - the Soviet industry, despite scientific progress, used mainly natural products. Only in the 90s, with perestroika, unknown food colorings, sugar substitutes - all kinds of additives poured into Russia. They immediately went into action in the new food industry, which was formed on the collapse of the old one. We got a lot of goodies: sausages of all sorts, cheeses, confectionery products, all this variety of cookies, sweets, chocolates and soda could not leave indifferent any adult, let alone children. The additives that gave the necessary marketable properties were launched, but their effect on the body was studied much later. A person found himself in a situation where the body, receiving all these new synthetic products, is simply not able to cope with their processing, does not know how to process this material in general and build cells from it to continue the life of its organs.

In fact, synthetic additives are absolutely foreign bodies for a person, which the body has not encountered before, so it does not suspect that with such a foundation, the “house” can fall apart, it accepts a foreigner as its own. Defense mechanisms - immunoglobulins, which bind and remove hazardous substances from the body, do not react to a beginner, it passes along with normal proteins, fats and carbohydrates and is embedded in membranes. The balance of the cell, tissue and organ is disturbed, and the body begins to get sick. Atherosclerosis, infertility, cancer - diseases that are commonly believed to arise from age, stress, or any other reason. Often the main reason for a malfunction in the body is precisely the incorrectly selected building material, i.e. the wrong food, which we, without thinking about the consequences, put in our mouths.

If the substances contained in natural products have a certain "intelligence" and are adjusted to work with a living organism: they choose special approaches to the cell, take part in natural metabolism, then synthetic substances of this "intelligence" are deprived.

Choose healthy foods and there will be no problems

It is also impossible to remove synthetic additives from food - it is beneficial for manufacturers to use them to give a presentation and increase the shelf life of the product. However, it is rational to change the very culture of food. This kind of prophylaxis will naturally help prevent the need for pill treatment.

From the point of view of human life, it is clear that all artificially created foods must be independently reduced in the diet. After all, the only way to maintain a fully healthy body and well-being is to use only the food for which our body is naturally prepared - i.e. natural food, not laboratory-created.
