Handy blogger Guy Dupont is an example of how you can literally give a second wind to an almost forgotten invention. It all started with the fact that one day he wanted to adapt his old iPod Classic from 2004 to listen to the Spotify service.
First, by adding the appropriate module, Guy gave his iPod access to Wi-Fi, and then to Bluetooth, after which he was able to connect wireless speakers and headphones to it.
The vastly increased capabilities of the updated gadget required a new, more powerful power source, so the next stage of the upgrade is to install a 1000 mAh battery, a microUSB charging port and replace the old monochrome screen with a modern color one. One of the highlights of the update is the $ 10 Raspberry Pi Zero W board.
In all honesty, we must admit that only the body and the control wheel are left from the good old iPod. All in all, DuPont spent a "record" $ 100 on its rework, called sPot and talked about his work on YouTube.
