The Pentagon intends to place capsules with shock drones on the ocean floor

DARPA is working on another project involving the placement of giant capsules 4.5 meters in size at the bottom in various regions of the World Ocean, inside which shock drones will be located in sleep mode. In the event of a military threat, on command, they will leave their "nests" and begin to carry out their assigned tasks.

After "awakening", the capsules will float to the surface, from where the drones will take off. Some of them will perform reconnaissance functions, while the rest are supposed to be equipped with some kind of futuristic weapon that guarantees decisive success in the event of war.

Designers will have to solve a number of problems. The first is finding the capsule at great depths for a long time under conditions of tremendous pressure.

The second problem is capsule activation. For this, a regular exchange of information on its technical condition must be maintained. And the last is the rise of the capsule to the surface. It should be borne in mind that about 50% of the World Ocean is more than 4 km deep.
