Amazing footage: Boeing 787 leaves a giant contrail in the sky

YouTube has published unique footage, filmed by a passenger in the sky over Russia, in which a Boeing 787 Dreamliner flying nearby at an altitude of over 10, 000 meters leaves an unusual giant contrail.

A contrail occurs when low pressure areas around the edge of a wing create vortices by circulating air that leave a trail behind the wings. The low pressure in these areas causes the cold air to condense, turning into tiny droplets of water, and sometimes even miniature pieces of ice.

As the plane passes through the cloud, water vapor and ice crystals are sucked in by the vortex, complementing the effect.
